Results of Annual General Meeting

Newmac Resources Inc. (TSX-V: NER) “Newmac” is pleased to report that at its annual general meeting of shareholders held on Wednesday, March 20, 2008 all items put forth at the meeting were approved by the shareholders.

At a meeting of directors held subsequent to the meeting of shareholders, the directors appointed Mr. David Schmidt as the new president and chief financial officer of the company. David Hjerpe will remain the Chief Executive Office of Newmac, and Bill Morton will remain as a Director.

With the company’s growth and success in 2007, it became clear to the board of directors that David Hjerpe and Bill Morton would need assistance with their duties as CEO, CFO, and President.  David Schmidt, who has been a director since April 2005 brings eight years of industry experience to the table.  The Board is very thankful for David Hjepre and Bill Mortons efforts to date, and are grateful for David Schmidt’s commitment to step in as President and Chief Financial Officer and work with David Hjerpe the Chief Executive Officer to continue the growth of the company into the future.

David Schmidt completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Mining) at the University of British Columbia in May 2000 and since then has been working as a self-employed consultant to mineral exploration and venture capital companies. He assists with financings, corporate and financial disclosure and corporate development, including project evaluation. Mr. Schmidt is also a director of three other TSX Venture listed companies.
